Children naturally communicate through play. Play therapy uses a child’s world in order for them to express feelings, develop problem-solving skills, modify behavior and learn new ways of relating to others. Play provides a safe, psychological distance from their problems and allows expression of thoughts and feelings appropriate to their development.

I have experience working with children and families, helping them cope with a wide variety of issues. I specialize in attachment focused treatment and mood disorders. I work with parents to learn more adaptive ways to relate to their child and help children develop their ability to cope more effectively with stressful feelings and deepen their capacity to form close relationships. I also work with your child to develop skills to better cope with their worries, self-criticism or depressive feelings.
I offer evidenced-based treatment for attachment disorders, depression, and anxiety disorders (including social anxiety, selective-mutism, OCD and others); Emotional dysregulation and/or chronic suicidal behavior; and Issues related to Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) and PTSD. I have extensive training in trauma work.
